Willie Jones

Willie Jones, born on May 7, 1956, departed this life on May 16, 2025. Willie was a man of many talents, cherished by those who knew him for his passions in both art and service. He loved to paint and proudly worked as a handyman, often lending his skills to friends and family alike. His work was not just a profession; it was a means through which he expressed his creativity and his generous spirit.

Known for his vibrant personality, Willie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, always eager to help others with a smile. His generous heart and warm nature fostered lasting bonds with those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life. Willie leaves behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and the countless memories shared over the years.

He is survived by his five beloved daughters: Latosha Galloway, Juanita Jones, Felisha Jones, Latoya Jones, and Andrea Jones. Additionally, he leaves behind his grandchildren: Christopher Galloway,Reginald Galloway,Tyrell Galloway, Natiyia Galloway, LaNitra Walker, Shaniya Lockridge, Shandrea Lockridge, Cheondra Allen, Delvin Green Jr., Desire Green, Driston Green, Dsaiah Green, Jordon Smith, J'Miyah Smith and Adrian Houston Jr. and eight great-grandchildren, who will fondly remember their time with him. He is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and many other family and friends who will carry his memory forward.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Percy and Juanita Jones; his only brother, Jimmy Jones; and the mother of his daughters, Mrs. Annie R. Jones. Their memory will be honored as his family comes together to celebrate his life.

Visitation will be held on May 29, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C J Williams Mortuary Center, located at 1625 Monroe Street, Vicksburg, MS 39180. A funeral service will follow on May 30, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Willie Jones will be remembered not just for his crafts but for the love he shared and the joy he brought to all those around him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of all he touched.
