It is with profound sadness and heartfelt respect that we announce the passing of Tremaine Gaines, who departed this life on April 9, 2026. Born on February 4, 1982, Tremaine was a remarkable individual whose generosity and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
A proud graduate of Warren Central High School in the class of 2000, Tremaine was well known for his exceptional culinary skills and his passion for cooking. His food videos brought joy to many, showcasing not only his talent but also his ability to share happiness through his creations. He was truly an outstanding and very giving person, always willing to extend a helping hand to others.
Tremaine’s life was enriched by the love and support of his family and friends. He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Leon Perry and Geraldine Eatmon of Vicksburg, Mississippi. He leaves behind cherished siblings: his sisters DeShaundra “DeeDee” Eatmon (Anita) and Asia Patrice Bradley, both of Vicksburg, MS, as well as Letitia Nicole Al-Ani of Salt Lake City, UT; and his brothers Carlos Shelley of Vicksburg, MS, and Cornelius Bradley Johnson, Jr. of Arlington, TX.
His extended family includes his grandfather Walter Kelly, aunts Yvonne (Roger) Dollison, Uylanda (Claude) Weathers, Gretta Roby, Shawanda (Kenneth) Swayzer, Pamela Jackson, Georgia Dent, Patricia (Simon) Mitchell, and Atina Watson, all residing in Vicksburg, MS. Among his uncles are Michael (Johnnie) Gaines, Samuel Roby, and Montel Watson, also of Vicksburg, MS. Tremaine’s family circle further includes his devoted cousin Jermaine Gaines (Shatori), nephew Noah Powell of Vicksburg, and a wide host of cousins and other relatives who mourn his loss deeply.
Tremaine’s friendships were a treasured part of his life. He is fondly remembered by his best friend Brenda Powell, his goddaughter Mariyah Sims, and close friends Joseph Powell, Kieyonnia Miller, Kingsley Miller, Tannekka Jones, Edward Mitchell, and the Anchuca family. Special gratitude is extended to his neighbor Mary King for her kindness and support.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cornelius Bradley; his maternal grandmother, Ruby Lee Gaines; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Bradley; his paternal grandfather, Sylous Bradley; his great-aunt Mosie Lee Jones; and his uncles Ronnie Gaines, Walter Gaines, Timothy Roby, and Freddie Butler.
Services to honor Tremaine’s memory will be held at C J Williams Mortuary Center, located at 1625 Monroe Street, Vicksburg, MS 39180, United States. The visitation will be on April 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow on April 26, 2026, starting at 2:00 p.m. at the same location.
Tremaine Gaines’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and passion for life will forever be treasured by those who knew him. May he rest in peace, and may his family and friends find comfort in the memories they shared with this exceptional soul.
