Mrs. Ruby Lillian Warfield, affectionately known as "Dee Dee," was born on April 8, 1944, in Hinds County, Mississippi, to the late Walter Warfield and Coniell Warfield. After courageously battling various illnesses, God saw that her weary body needed rest and peacefully called her home on September 11, 2026.
Ruby accepted Christ at an early age and united with Christian Home #2 Church, where she faithfully served as an usher for many years until her health began to decline. She loved the Lord and remained devoted to her church family throughout her life.
She received her education through Hickory Tree School, Bovina Elementary School, and McIntyre School. Ruby was known for her warm spirit, loving heart, and joyful personality. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, creating cherished memories filled with laughter, love, and kindness. Her fun-loving nature and golden smile left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved son, Leroy Warfield; her parents, Walter Warfield and Coniell Warfield; her sisters, Mary Allen, Martha Faulkner, Alice Margurie Jones, Wilma Jane Floyd, Lena Mae Robinson, and Marion McCoy; and her brothers, Fred Mace, Walter Warfield, Jr., and Mose Warfield.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her daughter, Deborah Ann Warfield; her grandson and bonus son, Walter Warfield, affectionately called "Boo"; three grandchildren, LaToya Warfield, LaShawn Warfield, and Ashley Warfield; twelve great-grandchildren, Shyyonna Warfield, DayQuan Warfield, James Warfield, Jakiah Warfield, Janiah Warfield, Xavier Warfield, Sariyah Warfield, Michael Jr. Evans, Amiyah Warfield, Christian Langston, Michael Warfield, Riyah Warfield, and Marley Warfield; three sisters, Ethel Ruth Gardner, Ruth (Clinton) Williams, and Flora (Houston) Williams; one brother, Henry Warfield; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends, including members of the Carson, Flaggs, Taylor, Mace, and Erves families.
Though she has departed from this earthly life, the love, laughter, wisdom, and precious memories that Ruby shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of faith, strength, and devotion to family will continue for generations to come.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23.
