Roberta Anderson

Ms. Roberta Anderson, age 75, peacefully transitioned from this life on August 21, 2026, in Pensacola, Florida. She was born on October 31, 1950, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to the late Hampton Watkins and Mary Lee Armstrong.

A proud graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School, Class of 1970, Roberta devoted her professional life to caring for others. Her work in Nursing and as an O.R. Technician reflected her steady hands, compassionate spirit, and unwavering commitment to service. She was formerly affiliated with Shiloh M.B. Church and later became a faithful member of Greater Grove Street Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Casey D. Fisher.

Roberta shared 44 beautiful years of marriage with the late David Anderson Jr. Their union was a testament to love, partnership, and family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Ruth Armstrong Kyles; her brother‑in‑law, Roosevelt Kyles; and her brother, Lawrence Lee Armstrong.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving companion, Dillard Robinson; her son, David Anderson III (Pamela); her daughter, Sonja Anderson; her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

Roberta’s life was marked by quiet strength, kindness, and a gentle grace that touched everyone she encountered. Her legacy of love and care will continue to shine through the many lives she uplifted.
