"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:14
Paris Nicole Morris-Jones was a precious gift from God whose life, though far too brief, left an everlasting imprint of love, joy, and beautiful memories in the hearts of all who knew her. Born on April 29, 2019, in Flowood, Mississippi, to Nicolas Jones and Jessica Morris, Paris brought sunshine into every room she entered and filled the lives of her family and friends with laughter, warmth, and happiness.
A faithful and active member of Travelers Rest Baptist Church, Paris participated in the Youth Choir and Youth Ministry, where she enjoyed growing in faith and fellowship. She loved worshiping alongside her church family and displayed a sweet spirit that touched those around her.
Paris was a second-grade student at St. Francis Xavier Elementary School, where she embraced learning with enthusiasm and shared her cheerful personality with classmates, teachers, and staff. Her bright smile and kind heart made her a joy to know. She also enjoyed taking ballet lessons at River Pointe Dance Academy and playing soccer through the Vicksburg Soccer Organization. Whether dancing gracefully across the stage or running across the soccer field, Paris approached every activity with excitement, determination, and delight.
Though her earthly journey was brief, Paris's life was filled with love, purpose, and treasured moments that will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Paris was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, Danny Earl Houston; her maternal great-grandmother, Joyce Etta Houston; her great-uncle, Marison Serrel Thornburg; her paternal great-grandfathers, Joseph Floyd Lewis, Sr. and John Henry Jones; and her paternal great-uncles, Joseph Floyd Lewis, Jr. and Cory Jones.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving father, Nicolas Jones, and devoted mother, Jessica Morris; her beloved brother, Chase and her sisters, London and Kalea; her grandparents, Rodney and Diana Thomas , Sylvester and Charlotta Jones, and Robert Morris; her paternal great-grandparents, Will and Berteal Rogers, and Rev. Columbus and Jeanette Felton; her aunts, Ashley Nicole Jones, Joycelyn Green, Jalecia Morris, and her special great aunts Whitney Houston and Claudette Smith; along with a host of great-uncles, cousins, extended family members, church family, classmates, teammates, and dear friends who will forever treasure the joy and love she brought into their lives.
Though Paris has received her heavenly wings, her beautiful smile, gentle spirit, and loving heart will remain forever in the memories of all who loved her. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will never fade.
God saw that you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He wrapped His loving arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me." Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Paris now rests safely in the arms of Jesus, where there is everlasting peace, perfect joy, and eternal love. ❤️
