Otis Bell, a dedicated and beloved member of his community, passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on February 16, 1951, Otis lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a passion for simple pleasures. He is remembered with great respect and affection by all who knew him.

Otis devoted 30 years of his career to the Valley Park Cotton Gin and Cary Cotton Gin, serving faithfully until his retirement. His commitment to his work reflected not only his strong work ethic but also his deep connection to the agricultural community that surrounded him.

Beyond his professional life, Otis found joy in playing dominos, tending to his garden, and most importantly, spending quality time with his grandchildren. These activities brought a warm sense of fulfillment and happiness to his days and shaped the man many loved.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda Bell, who stood steadfastly by his side through life’s ups and downs. Otis was a proud father to his sons Cedric Dillard and Antonio Dillard Sr., and his daughters Princess Bell, Mondra Bell, and Olet Davis. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends who cherished him deeply, including a special nephew, Frank Dillard; his sister-in-law, Rachel Bell; and his special friend, John Foster. The family members Ruthie Battle, along with members of the Watkins, Syvester, Lovette, Brown, Doyle, and Battle families, continue to honor his memory.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Roberta Bell, and by his son, Tacarl Moore. He also mourns the loss of his brothers Andrew Bell, Jr., Fred Bell, Lewis Bell, Albert Bell, and Robert Bell, as well as his sisters Jessie Robinson, Sadie Bell, Geraldine Maxey, Flora Melvin, and Princess Bell.
