In Loving Memory of Marlon Jermaine Robinson

On Monday, June 29, 2026, the world lost a beloved son, father, brother, fiancé, and friend when Marlon Jermaine Robinson departed this earthly life. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will remain forever etched in the hearts of all who knew him.

Marlon was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to the late Brenda D. Robinson and Willie "Cuzzy" Jones. From an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, beginning a lifelong journey of faith that quietly shaped the way he loved and cared for others.

Affectionately known as "Marlo," he possessed a heart that was as genuine as his smile. He was the kind of person people naturally gravitated toward—not because he sought attention, but because he offered understanding, loyalty, and unwavering support. Marlo believed that life was built on the enduring values of love, loyalty, respect, honor, and independence, and he lived those principles every day. He never rushed to judge others. Instead, he offered wisdom, encouragement, and honest advice that often-brought comfort during life's most difficult moments.

Above everything else, Marlo treasured his family. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by those he loved. Whether sharing laughter, creating memories, or simply spending time together, he made every moment count. His love for his children was immeasurable, and they were the light of his life. He cherished his fiancée, his parents, his siblings, and every member of his extended family with a love that was steadfast and sincere.

Marlo also found happiness in the things that reflected his vibrant personality. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, PlayStation, and celebrating the rewards of his hard work. Yet no possession ever meant more to him than the people who stood beside him through every season of life. His generosity, sense of humor, and unmistakable presence made him someone who could never be replaced.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Brenda D. Robinson, whose love helped shape the man he became, and by his younger brother, Johnny Shears, Jr.

Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we rejoice in the beautiful memories Marlo leaves behind. He will forever be cherished by his devoted fiancée, Niger Ragsdale; his beloved sons, Marquis, Jadan, Jordan, and Mesiah, who were the pride and joy of his life; his loving father, Willie "Cuzzy" Jones; his cherished grandmother, Sharon Ulette "Lettie" Robinson; his devoted sisters, Sherry Dynese Shears, Melissa Brendella Shears, and Brenda Renee Shears Gibson; his brothers, Marquis Burkley, Willie "Lil Willie" Jones, Jr., and Daniel Jones; and his treasured nieces and nephews—Elijah, E.J., Jamari, C.J., April, Angel, Nana, A.J., and Harmony—each of whom held a special place in his heart.

He also leaves behind his aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, his parents-in-law, Danielle and Joseph Johnson, and a host of extended family members, lifelong friends, and countless others whose lives were forever enriched by his kindness, loyalty, and love.

Marlo's absence leaves a silence that words cannot fill. There will be empty seats at family gatherings, stories that bring both tears and laughter, and moments when his voice, his smile, and his embrace will be missed beyond measure. Yet even in our sorrow, we are reminded that love does not end when life on earth is over. It lives on in every cherished memory, every lesson he taught, every laugh he shared, and every heart he touched.

Though we must say goodbye for now, Marlon's legacy will continue through his children, his family, and everyone blessed to have known him. His love will forever remain a guiding light, and his memory will be carried with us until that glorious day when we meet again.

"Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in every memory, every smile, and every heart they touched."
