Ladatra Lasha Lynn Williams, a vibrant soul who brought joy and light into the lives of everyone she met, left this world on July 14, 2025, at the tender age of 26. Born on November 29, 1998, she was a remarkable individual whose smile could brighten the darkest of days and whose caring spirit touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Ladatra's education was a testament to her strength and determination. She attended the Vicksburg Warren School District, ultimately graduating with honors from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Shawnee, KS. These accomplishments not only reflect her dedication to education but also the promise she held for a bright future.
Family was everything to Ladatra. Her life revolved around her children, Elijah, Eli, E’Lissa, and Elaina, whom she cherished deeply. She is survived by her father, Eddie Williams III, and her stepmother, Alayna Chenise Hawkins, both from Olathe, Kansas. The love of her grandmother, Sharon Williams, and Willie Mae Barnett, from Vicksburg, MS, will forever remain in the memories of those who held her close.
Ladatra also leaves behind a wide circle of family that included her aunts, Contessa Williams from Pensacola, Florida, Zenova Williams, Ph.D., from Topeka, Kansas, and Audrey Davis-Rogers (Troy Sr) of Vicksburg. Her uncle, Jon Williams, from Olathe, Kansas, and step-mother, Bessie Hearon, from Vicksburg, MS, along with her six sisters—Jasmine Williams and Katherine Williams of Starkville, MS, Helen Williams and Tahiry Rogers of Vicksburg, MS, Demptra Clark of Brookhaven, MS, and Jaida Hawkins of Olathe, KS—continue to honor her memory alongside her four brothers, Eddie Williams IV “EJ” of Olathe, KS, Troy Rogers Jr. and Koledon Rogers of Vicksburg, MS, and Dempsey “DJ” Clark Jr. of Brookhaven, MS, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Ladatra was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Victoria Barnett-Clark, and her grandfather, Eddie Williams Jr. She is also survived by the loving spirit of her great-grandparents, Eddie Williams Sr., Arloya Williams, Barbara Neal Geter, and Nelson Robert Norris Jr., along with her cherished godmother, Anice Davis, who loved her like a daughter.
As we gather to honor Ladatra's memory, we will remember her as a beautiful soul, inside and out. Her joyous demeanor and fierce dedication to her family will continue to live on in our hearts. A memorial service is scheduled to celebrate her life and legacy on September 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at C J Williams Mortuary Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The impact she made during her time here will resonate forever through the lives she touched so profoundly.
