Jerry Lumpkin

Mr. Jerry Lumpkin was born on November 17, 1947, to the late Terrell Lumpkin and Willie Mae Baltimore Lumpkin. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Cool Springs Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. G. C. Carr.

Jerry was a hardworking man who was employed by Aden's Farms. He was known throughout the community for his warm and welcoming spirit. Jerry never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel like family. He especially loved cooking and found great joy in preparing meals and bringing people together around the table.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Terrell and Willie Mae Baltimore Lumpkin; one sister, Carolyn Johnson; and four brothers, Jessie Lumpkin, Sr., Avion Lumpkin, Lee Charles Lumpkin, Sr.  and Allen Lumpkin.

Jerry departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Those left to treasure his memory include his daughter, Sherry Lumpkin; his son, Gary Lumpkin; his sister, Catherine Gleese; his brother, Sylvester Lumpkin, Sr.; his devoted niece and caregiver, Jeanette Johnson; his goddaughter, Riaymayh Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever hold him dear in their hearts.

Jerry's kindness, generosity, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched along his journey.
