Henry Donald Price, fondly known as "Bay-Nay", left this world on August 11, 2025, leaving behind a profound legacy that will be cherished by all who were lucky enough to know him. Born on December 15, 1951, Henry dedicated his life to service, love, and the community he held dear.

A proud alumnus of the Vicksburg School System and a committed student, he later earned a B. S. Degree in  Electronics  from Alcorn State University, which laid the foundation for his career at the  U. S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC). He worked diligently and passionately until his retirement in 2009, where he devoted himself fully to his family and his beloved church community.

Henry was a lifelong member of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, where his presence was felt through his unwavering commitment as the church’s handyman. Every Sunday, what might have been an ordinary day began with Henry’s loving touch. He would ensure the church was comfortable—welcoming warmth in winter and a refreshing coolness in summer—always making sure that everything functioned without a hitch. He approached every task with a sense of pride and joy, embodying the essence of service to others.

His accomplishments were not merely professional; they extended far beyond a career. Henry had a heart of gold that overflowed with kindness and generosity. He was known for his willingness to help anyone in need, whether fixing a leaky faucet for a church member, lending a hand during church events, or sharing joyful stories with his cherished grandchildren, Emanuel Dyvon Price and Ariel Nichole Price. Every encounter with him was marked by a warm smile that made everyone feel welcome and valued.

Henry is survived by his son, Shelley Eugene Price, his sisters Gladys Sims Cross and Thelma Sims Dukes, brothers-in-law Malcolm Davis, sisters-in-law Lorraine Davis Brown and Julia Davis Ford, as well as his long-time friend and business associate, Dr. Doris M. Turnage. His legacy will not only be remembered by his immediate family but also by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives he touched with grace and compassion.

Henry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Davis Price, along with his parents Shelley and Martha Sims Price, and eight of his siblings. Their spirits now accompany him, creating a space of eternal reunion filled with love and remembrance.
