George Lyons, a man whose generous spirit and loving heart touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026. Born on November 17, 1951, George lived a life defined by kindness and devotion, attributes that endeared him to all who knew him.
For over two decades, George dedicated his professional life to Magnolia Jewelers, formerly known as Tanner Jewelers, where he shared not only his impeccable skill but also his warmth and generosity. Those years were more than a career for George—they were a testament to his commitment to service and excellence, right up until his health no longer allowed him to continue. dedicated his professional life to Magnolia Jewelers, formerly known as Tanner Jewelers
Beyond his career, George was a beacon of love and kindness within his family and community. He was generous to a fault, always ready to lend a hand or share a smile. His heart was vast, and his capacity to care was evident in every interaction, leaving a legacy of love that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him.
George was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Henry and Willie B. Lyons; his sister Agnes Marie Lyons; brothers Jimmy Lyons, Henry Lyons Jr., Willie Lyons, and Alan Lyons; as well as his grandparents, George Washington and Fannie Washington. The memory of these cherished family members remains a source of strength and reflection.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory his devoted daughter, Michelle Allison; dear stepdaughter, Tiffany Bells; loving brother, L. J. Lyons, Sr.; sister-in-law, Sadie Lyons; and many more loving family members who will continue to honor his life and spirit.
As we say goodbye to George Lyons, we honor a life beautifully lived—a life that gave so much and asked so little in return. His kindness, love, and generosity remain an everlasting gift to all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
