Freddy Lee Jackson, born on May 15, 1966, departed this life on September 13, 2025. He was raised with love and care by his maternal grandmother, the late Luebertha King, whose influence was a foundation in his life.

Freddy possessed a vibrant personality, characterized by a keen sense of style and a deep appreciation for time spent with family and friends. He exuded warmth and charm, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by a loving and caring companion, Pamela King Shaw of Vicksburg, MS. Freddy leaves behind brothers Kenny (Tena) King, Sr. of Garland, TX; Joseph (Willean) Wells, Jr. of Vicksburg, MS; and Walter Dunbar, III of Simpsonville, SC. His sister, Shirley Ratliff of Corinth, MS, also holds his cherished memories close. Freddy was a devoted father to his children: Jeremy (Elberlease) King, Sr. of Vicksburg, MS; Chelsea (Frederick) King Summers of Ft. Worth, TX; and Jalisia Shaw of St. Louis, MO. He was a proud grandfather to Keyumbria Summers and Frederick Summers, Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX, and Jeremy King, Jr. of Vicksburg, MS. He also had a special bond with his goddaughter, Vonshay Lewis, and godson, Jordan Hester, both of Vicksburg, MS.

A play sister, Millie Queen, of Vicksburg, MS, along with great aunts Marcella Butler, Clara Butler, and Josephine Butler Ellis from Chicago, IL, are part of the extensive circle of family and friends that Freddy leaves behind. He is remembered fondly by a large community of nieces, nephews, cousins, and the extended Jackson, King, Dunbar, Moffett, Wells, Williams, Eatmon, and Butler families.

Freddy is preceded in death by his parents, Ola B. Jackson Wells, and the late Walter Dunbar, Jr., as well as his grandmother, the late Luebertha King. He is also mourned by the memory of his sister, Thelma Jean Jackson Price; his niece, Jennifer Jackson; his uncles, Leonard Butler and Percy Shelton; his aunt, Ida Mae Dunbar Moffett; and great aunts Margaret Wells, Lucille Williams, Willie Mae Butler, Mattie B. Eatmon, and Rose Johnson.

Visitation for Freddy Lee Jackson will be held on September 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C J Williams Mortuary Center, located at 1625 Monroe Street, Vicksburg, MS. A funeral service will follow on September 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at C J Williams Mortuary Center.

Freddy's spirit and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends, reminding all of the joy he spread throughout his life. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
