Eunice Annette Walker-Redick

Eunice Annette Walker‑Redick, born on February 11, 1942, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, was the first beloved child of the late Robert and Annie Mae Walker. From her earliest years, Eunice carried a gentle strength and a steadfast devotion to family that would shape the course of her life.

In 1975, she married the love of her life, Herman “Billy” Redick, with whom she shared a bond marked by affection, partnership, and enduring commitment. Eunice devoted herself wholeheartedly to her children—Mark, Sandra, and Angela—nurturing them with unwavering love, guidance, and grace.

Eunice confessed her faith in Christ at Mount Olive M.B. Church and later united with Locust Grove M.B. Church, where she joyfully served as a member of the choir. Her faith was the quiet anchor of her life, reflected in her kindness, humility, and compassion toward others.

A proud 1960 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School, Eunice pursued her calling in healthcare with determination and excellence. She earned her Nursing Degree from Kuhn Memorial Hospital, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse, and later continued her studies at Hinds Community College. Her career as an LPN spanned more than thirty years, with service at Kuhn Memorial Hospital and Vicksburg Hospital. Eunice’s gentle spirit, skillful hands, and deep compassion made her a cherished caregiver to countless patients and families.

On July 25, 2026, Eunice peacefully departed this life. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Herman “Billy” Redick; her parents, Robert and Annie Mae Walker; one sister, Lucille Sanford; three brothers, Robert M. Walker, Ronnie T. Walker, and Patrick L. Walker; and one nephew, Kerry L. Walker.

Eunice leaves to cherish her memory her son, Mark A. Winters; two daughters, Sandra Winters‑Boyd (Willie) and Angela M. Redick‑Gray (Pardre); and four stepchildren, Carrie Redick‑Brown (Bennie), Delvia Redick‑Dunning (John), Selestine Jackson, and Zandra Redick‑Mendoza. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, four great‑grandchildren, three sisters—Mary Walker‑Anderson, Debra Walker‑Williams (Chuck), and Patricia Walker‑Daniel—and five brothers: Joseph E. Walker, Phillip L. Walker (Gwen), Rudolph Walker (Doris), Randolph Walker, and Michael L. Walker, Sr. (Aminah). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends remain to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
