Anthony's life was a beautiful reflection of unwavering faith, enduring love, quiet strength, and genuine kindness.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, Anthony “Tank” Wilson answered the Master's call and peacefully entered eternal rest. Surrounded by the love of family and sustained by the grace of God, he transitioned from labor to reward. Anthony's life was a beautiful reflection of unwavering faith, enduring love, quiet strength, and genuine kindness. His memory will forever be cherished by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Anthony was born on January 25, 1965, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to the late Alonzo Smith, Jr., and Edna Lee Robinson. At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Belmont Missionary Baptist Church, where he began a lifelong walk of faith that remained a guiding force throughout his life.

He received his education through the Hinds County School System and continued his studies at Hinds Community College. Anthony possessed a gentle spirit and an easygoing nature that drew people to him. His infectious smile, warm heart, and unmistakable sense of humor made every gathering brighter. Whether sharing stories, enjoying heartfelt conversations, or simply spending time with those he loved, Anthony had a remarkable gift for making others feel welcome. Before his illness, one of his greatest joys was deer hunting. Patient and determined, he treasured the peace of the outdoors and was always searching for that elusive trophy buck.

Anthony believed in the value of honest work and dedicated himself wholeheartedly to every task entrusted to him. He was employed by Delta Monument Company, where he skillfully crafted lasting memorials alongside his late uncle, T. J. Robinson, Sr. He later worked for Southfork Logging & Construction, earning the admiration and respect of coworkers through his unwavering dependability, tireless work ethic, and humble character.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alonzo Smith, Jr., and Edna Lee Robinson; his devoted stepfather, Marshall Haynes; four aunts, Carrie Lee Carson, Ida Mease Hunt, Ida Mae Robinson, and Lena Mae Robinson; and five uncles, A. J. Robinson, Richard Robinson, Percy Robinson, Ezekiel Robinson, and T. J. Robinson, Sr.

Though Anthony's earthly journey has come to a close, the love he shared and the legacy he leaves behind will continue to flourish in the lives of those who loved him. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his devoted sister, Hope (Johnnie) Johnson of Raymond, Mississippi; his loving brother, Charlie (Angela) Wilson of Vicksburg, Mississippi; two cherished aunts, Ethel (Willie) Myles of Houston, Texas, and Bernice Robinson of Chicago, Illinois; and a very special niece, Jayla Johnson, affectionately known as "Ms. May," who held a treasured place in his heart.

He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Julius Johnson, Shemaine Dixon, LaQuita Reed, Jamaya Smith, Tuscany Wilson, Sadie Stamps, Robert Wilson, Avante Wilson, Kamori Harris, and DeShae Harris. In addition, he leaves a host of beloved cousins, extended family members, lifelong friends, and all whose lives were enriched by his friendship, compassion, and quiet generosity.

Anthony's warm smile, gentle spirit, and steadfast love created lasting impressions that time can never erase. Though his physical presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith, kindness, laughter, and unconditional love will continue to inspire those who knew him. His life reminds us that the measure of a person is not found in the years that he lived, but in the love that he shared, the lives that he touched, and the memories that he leaves behind.
