She found great joy in sewing and immersing herself in puzzle books, activities that reflected her thoughtful and meticulous nature. Above all, Annie’s deepest passion was her unconditional love for her children, for whom she would do anything. Her selfless spirit and nurturing character left a profound impact on all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Alvin McDowell, Sr. and Beulah McDowell; her loving husband, Pam Banks; five brothers, Andrew McDowell, M.C. McDowell, Kennen McDowell, Alvin McDowell, Jr., and Aaron McDowell; and three sisters, Doris McDowell, Effie Leggins, and Dora McCaleb.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory five devoted children: Kalvin Banks and Pamela Banks of Tallulah, Louisiana; Stacey Banks of Vicksburg, Mississippi; Natasha (Greg) Mouton of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; and Mitzi Banks (Jake Rush) of Thomastown, Louisiana. She also leaves three loving sisters:  Exxiev McDowell and Lois McDowell of Tallulah, Louisiana, and Velsie Wiley of Las Vegas, Nevada; as well as one brother, Henry McDowell of Las Vegas, Nevada. Her legacy continues through six grandchildren—Kalvin (Jimmie) Hardy, Dejuan Banks, Joseph Bell, Jr., Omarion Bell, Miyah Mouton, and Kitana Green—and four great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who treasured her presence in their lives.
