Albert Walker, born on August 7, 1971, in Vicksburg, Mississippi, left this world all too soon on February 23, 2026. He is fondly remembered as a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose warmth and spirit touched the lives of many. Albert built a life that reflected his passions and dedications, characterized by unwavering love for his family and the pursuits that brought him joy.

Professionally, Albert was steadfast in his work ethic, dedicating many years to Simpson Duravent before transitioning to Batesville Casket. His culinary talents shone through as a part-time chef at 10 South Restaurant in Vicksburg, where he delighted others with his skills.

Education was an important aspect of Albert’s life. He began his journey at Culkin Elementary School and proudly graduated from Warren Central High School in 1991. A member of the Viking Football Team, his school spirit was evident. Following his high school years, he attended Utica Junior College, pursuing a major in welding, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

In his free time, Albert found solace in nature as a passionate hunter and fisherman, often seeking the tranquility of his sister-in-law's lake. There, he lost himself in the gentle lapping of water and the thrill of a catch, finding peace in solitude until nightfall.

Albert leaves behind a loving family that treasures his memory: his devoted wife, Catina Beasley Walker; his cherished children, Ashton Walker and George Walker of Jackson, Asia Wilson of Vicksburg; and his two bonus sons, Richard Wilson, III of Port Gibson and Joshua Wilson of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by two adoring grandchildren, Taylor and Tyler Wilson of Vicksburg, who share a special bond with Albert as they share the same birthdate. His mother, Mary Browne, and stepfather, James Knight of Vicksburg, will forever remember the laughter they shared with him. Albert’s siblings, Adam Walker of Vicksburg, Nadine Browne of Atlanta, Georgia, and Tiffany Johnson of Vicksburg, hold their memories of him close. He leaves behind a nurturing circle of family, including his mother-in-law Rita Beasley, second mother/mother-in-law Faye Davis, sisters-in-law Nekeyma Beasley, Myrtle Hedrick, and Belinda Smith (Larry), brothers-in-law Joseph Davis, Jr. (Deidre) and Patrick Davis, Sr. (Belinda), and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles who cherish their ties to him.

Albert was preceded in death by his father, Albert “Sweet Johnson” Walker, and his paternal grandparents, George Walker, Sr. and Rosemary Walker, as well as his maternal grandparents, Levi and Maggie Browne. Their love and guidance shaped the man he had become.

The memories of Albert will be cherished by all who had the honor of knowing him. Friends Lawrence Ray, Ray Steward, and Randy Elmore will especially miss the moments shared, underscoring the depth of his friendships that played a significant role in his life.

As we gather to celebrate Albert’s life, let us remember the love he freely gave and the joy he brought into our lives. He will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to resonate through the stories we share, the laughter we recall, and the love we carry.
